How To Measure For Perfect Faux Shades Form?
Choosing the right mount is the first step: inside mount or outside mount.
Inside Mount:
Ensure at least 1″ of space inside the window trim at the top for the velcro track hardware.
Measure the width of the window from inside trim to inside trim at the top (to the nearest 1/8″).
Measure the height from top to bottom inside the trim.
We recommend the finished shade length to be 1/4 – 1/3 of your window’s total height. For example, a 45″ tall window would have a shade between 11.25″ – 15″. Hold your tape measure up to see what feels best in your space!
Outside Mount:
Measure the width from the outside edges of the trim and add 2″ for the finished width.
Measure the height from top to bottom outside the trim and use the same formula above for your desired finished length.
